Ondansetron HCl Injection — Anti-Nausea Add-On
Ondansetron HCl 2 mg/mL | 2 mL (4 mg total dose)
Ondansetron is a fast-acting, prescription-strength anti-nausea medication administered as part of your IV therapy session. It works by blocking serotonin receptors in the brain and gut that trigger nausea and vomiting, providing rapid relief within minutes of administration.
Commonly used for: Nausea associated with dehydration, migraines, hangovers, motion sickness, morning sickness, post-procedure recovery, and general GI upset.
Administration: Delivered intravenously by your RN as an add-on to your IV drip session. Onset of action typically within 15–30 minutes.
Dosage: 4 mg (2 mg/mL × 2 mL) IV push or added to IV bag — per NP order.
